Why Turmeric Isn't Working
CHECKLIST - If you're not getting any results from adding turmeric to your diet...
In most cases, we advise against the use of turmeric and/or curcumin capsules, pills, supplements, tonics, and drinks. Many are poorly absorbed, and some contain honey or other sweeteners that add nothing of benefit and may provoke inflammation, illness and pain.
Have you remembered the oil and the pepper? (Read about the 3 basic ingredients)
Remember: add freshly cracked pepper and coconut oil at the END of cooking
Are you sure of the turmeric’s quality? (Check the F.A.Qs on turmeric)
How often are you eating/feeding it? (The best way to eat turmeric)
Start on 1/4 teaspoon twice a day and build up to 3 - 4 times a day over a few weeks to begin with. Then you can slowly increase to 1/2 tsp over a few more weeks, then 3/4 tsp; maximum is about 1 whole teaspoon 4 times a day, but there is no set dose and every body is different. Determine your dose based on the degree of effect you or your pet needs.
Remember: "little and often is best". Increase dose frequency before dose size
Have you increased the dosage, remembering also to increase the oil and pepper?
Have you tried using another oil? We also recommend using olive oil and flaxseed oil. ALWAYS USE: VIRGIN/EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE, COLD PRESSED/RAW/UNREFINED OILS. Do not use any other.
Do you eat it with other food and water? That could help your metabolism.
Backtrack and see if you can figure out why it is not working; it should work!
If you have increased the dose and made several doses at regular intervals throughout the day, and had with other food and water, for over a month and it is still not having an effect... then SWITCH turmeric brands!
